BRITA is a market-leading water filtration company that strives to become the world’s number one (market share) with every one of its products. Having already established a secure position in high street retail, BRITA aims to become the main provider on UK online marketplaces.

To help BRITA achieve online market growth and increase conversions, we acquired its clearance products, as well as its standard range of products, which are stored in our warehouse and dispatched through our managed markets. We also created a website to source and dispatch its products direct to consumers, providing efficient customer service. Utilising Google Ads, our marketing team ensured that the BRITA-specific website received high volumes of traffic and increased sales.

The Cambridge Satchel Company designs and manufactures traditional British leather satchels and handbags, priding its products on being handmade in Britain. Since 2008, the company has received high-profile acknowledgement from Vogue, The New York Times, a Google Chrome TV ad series and a high number of celebrity supporters.

To continue the success of the brand and bring its online presence to Amazon for the first time, we partnered with the Cambridge Satchel Company to create an Amazon storefront and handle its Amazon Marketing Services, which included producing high-quality graphics and materials, creating listings for its products on Amazon and designing A+ content that truly portrays the brand’s positioning.

eBay Inception Store | Direct to Consumer

Hoover created the first vacuum cleaner in 1908 and, since then, the company has continued to differentiate itself in the marketplace.

To increase Hoover’s market share and online presence, our specialist team created an eBay inception store and acquired stock from across the whole of the Hoover range. Due to our close relationship with eBay, our team has secured Hoover spots on eBay’s ‘daily promotions’ section – the top spot of their main page, bringing in over £100,000 sales in one promotional day.

Majority approached us as a new brand to the UK in 2012. With a small range of radios, Majority wishes to take its range of digital radios and speakers to the online retail market, and wants a direct to consumer relationship through online marketplaces, in order to receive feedback straight from consumers to inform product development. The team at Velocity Commerce took its products to the largest online UK retail markets, and produced a website for its brand as the expanded range.

Our work with Majority has brought it from an emerging brand, to a fully-established company with products in over a million homes, and we continue to support it in developing its online retail presence.

Due to our continued relationship with eBay, our team secured a collaboration with the marketplace to advertise the best-selling Majority Snowdon II soundbar on Piccadilly Lights on Monday 26 November 2018 in support of Cyber Monday.

Amazon Marketing Services | Online Marketplace Strategy

Nextbase is the number one market-leading dash cam company in the UK. Already an established brand on the UK high street, Nextbase wished to take its products to the online retail marketplace in order to grow in the UK dash cam category and establish its brand in the international market.

The company had previously sold on Amazon with no online strategy, so partnered with our specialist team to differentiate its products against market competitors. We worked with the brand to optimise its storefront and create Amazon Marketing Services content to increase its online sales. Our partnership with Nextbase has established the products in the German dash cam market and we are currently introducing them into the US market.

International Sales | Direct to Consumer

Sphero began the connected-play revolution by fusing robotic and digital technology into immersive entertainment experiences. Sphero now works with world famous companies like Disney, to manufacture products for some of its biggest franchises.

Sphero approached us in 2018 to help expand its UK online sales (after success in the US) and explore the untapped potential of Amazon and eBay. With our experience of working with large eCommerce platforms, we worked with Sphero to launch its products into these retail spaces and expand into new markets. Much of the success of the partnership has been through selling and distributing un-sold “open box” stock from our warehouse, and creating a new revenue stream for our partner in the process.

Refurbished Products | Opening New Clean Sales Channels

Sony is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of consumer electronics. The electronics brand had never actively sold on eBay and, with the growth of the online retail and direct to consumer channels, it wanted to get ahead of the curve.

We are working with Sony to sell its refurbished products on eBay as well as helping the brand to shift lines that it has excess stock off. We recommended that the brand sells on eBay because it doesn’t conflict with its mainstream retailers; giving consumers with lower budgets access to Sony products. eBay was a sales channel that Sony had not considered before, so our team developed a tailored strategy for its sales on the platform and in the first two weeks, we sold the majority of its products.


Direct to Consumer | SEO

Tile is one of the world’s largest lost and found applications. The app works with a small Bluetooth tracker to help consumers find items in seconds.

Tile sits at a price point that makes it perfect for gifting and therefore naturally attracts significant sales peaks during seasonal promotional times like Father’s Day and Christmas. We are supporting the team to manage this vast influx of sales through selling on eBay, a channel that was not previously on the brand’s radar because they didn’t have the infrastructure to mail items to buyers.

At Velocity Commerce we have our own warehouse facilities posting out 1,000s of items a day to customers all over the world. We also have one of the largest eBay stores in Europe and have regular contact with the marketplace – as such, we have used the eBay 24hr deals program to good effect to ensure Tile makes the most of its busiest time of year.
