At Velocity Commerce, we have an aspiration to give back. Our diverse team is passionate about getting out there to raise valuable funds for the charitable and community causes they believe in. As a company we support and encourage these passions and have provided support for various good causes, both in our local community and further afield.
Online solutions for your business and brand

Velocity and the Lockdown
Since we established Majority in 2014, we’ve been supporting charities that help isolated and vulnerable groups by donating radios to provide the lonely and isolated with entertainment and a window to the world. During self-isolation, we have extended this initiative by donating digital radios to care homes in the local area. We also worked with local housing charity, CHS Group, to donate gifts to vulnerable young people celebrating milestone birthdays while in isolation.
Through our #BackedByVelocity initiative we are sponsoring local grass-roots sports teams and community causes with funding for whatever they might need, from kits to clubhouses. From the Leeds Beckett University Rugby team to the Under-8s Histon Hornets football club, we’re supporting teams up and down the country. Head over to our Sponsorship page to find out more about #BackedByVelocity.
London Marathon and Cogwheel Trust
Our own director and co-founder, Eddie Latham, fundraised £400 for Cambridge based mental health charity, The Cogwheel Trust, after running the Virgin Money London Marathon in just 2 hours, 50 minutes and 21 seconds in 2019.
We donated £3,000 worth of toys to vulnerable children, through the amazing charity KidsOut. KidsOut works with refuges and shelters nationwide to support kids who have often had to move home or leave home suddenly. To help ease the transition, KidsOut sends each child their very own box of toys, welcoming them to their new space, and bringing joy to children who need it most. As we work with a range of children’s brands, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to use what we have to support those in need.
London to Paris Cycle Ride for Jimmy’s Cambridge
In the baking hot summer of 2019 some of the team at Velocity Commerce took part in a charity bike ride from London to Paris, raising money for Jimmy’s Night Shelter in Cambridge. The cycle took four days from start to finish and the team covered around 85 miles a day!
